Otherwise known as Banana Bars...if you like Banana bread you will want to make these bars. The recipe only calls for a few ingredients.

  • 5 ripe bananas
  • 3/4 cup packed light - brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Blood orange olive oil
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 3/4 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350. Line a 15x10x1/2 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides.

In a large bowl, whisk/mix together the mashed bananas, sugar, oil, milk, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add the flour and combine. Fold in 1/2 of the chocolate chips.

Spread the batter in the pan and sprinkle with the remaining chips. Bake about 15 - 20 minutes or until a knife tip comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Transfer bars to a cutting board, using the overhang of parchment and cut into 40 bars.
