Fried Mozzarella Caprese Salad

1 pack mozzarella (not packed in water)

2 eggs 

Sea salt and pepper to taste 



Oil for skillet (enough for about 2 inches in the pan)


Fresh Basil Leaves

Fresh Basil Olive Oil Etcetera from Olive Oil Etcetera 

Traditional Balsamic Vinegar from Olive Oil Etcetera 


Prepare sliced tomato and basil for warm cheese to be added to it promptly. Slice mozzarella into thin slices. Mix together eggs, salt, pepper, and milk. Put breadcrumbs on a plate. Dip cheese into bread crumbs, and then egg mixture and back to the breadcrumbs. Heat oil in skillet and when oil is hot, heat coated cheese on both sides. Remove from heat and layer with tomato and basil. Drizzle with Basil olive oil and traditional balsamic vinegar. Put caprese salad over greens if desired or add it to a burger or chicken sandwich.
