Warm Oatmeal topped with Nuts

Slow cooking in the instant pot is an easy one pot way to make a meal or snack. This oatmeal can be made all different ways with modified ingredients. 

Directions: Put all of the ingredients in the slow cooker (instant Pot tested) and stir before cooking and to combine. 

Slow Cook all ingredients together in the Instant Pot for 1.5 Hours and Enjoy Warm.

*I put the coconut oil in first by rubbing it on the side wall about an inch up from the bottom of the pot and on the bottom and let the remainder be in with the other ingredients to cook together.

Serving: 

You can top it with nuts and fruit or yogurt to name a few. 

You can also portion this for mornings ahead or snack. 

Ingredients: 

-1 cup steel cut Oats 

-1 cups Oatmeal

-1/4 cup chia seeds 

-1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil 

-A pinch of Salt

- optional: A Dash Ground Nutmeg - the flavor is strong for some people 

- optional 1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar or to taste 

- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon or more to taste 

-1 Apple Granny Smith (tart) chopped 

-1/4 cup raisins

-1 1/2 cup Oat milk or milk of your choice

-1 cup water or a little more if you like your oatmeal more moist 

Modifications: Sub brown sugar for 1 Tablespoon Pumpkin Butter for sweetness and creaminess, you can add about 1/2 cup more water for more moist oats or more fruit like the apple or raisins. 

You can add or omit any spice or sugar you want: try pumpkin spice
