Roasted Broccoli

2 heads broccoli crowns, cleaned and separated into florets

2 tablespoons Arbequina Extra-Virgin Olive Oil from Olive Oil Etcetera

    (you can also use Meyer Lemon , Roasted Garlic or Jalapeno Garlic Olive Oil)

Alessi dipping spice from Olive Oil Etcetera

Grated Parmesan or Locatelli cheese


Place the broccoli florets in a bowl.  Toss with the olive oil.  Place in a baking tray with sides.  Grind the Alessi Dipping spice liberally over the florets.  Add some red pepper flakes if desired.

Pour a small amount of water in the baking dish. Cover the broccoli with foil.  Bake 400 degrees for 20 minutes.  Remove the foil.  Sprinkle Parmesan or Locatelli grated cheese over.  Continue baking, uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until broccoli is done.  

You can quickly place the tray under the broiler to brown the parmesan cheese if desired.


You can use carrots, cauliflower as a substitute on in combination with the broccoli.
